Workshop Sourdough Baking
Sourdough is the origin of bread baking. There is something magical that only flour and water can develop so much leavening power if you maintain it properly. Maintaining the sourdough is not difficult, but it does require commitment and almost daily effort.
The Sourdough Bread Baking course is spread over 2 days. An afternoon and a morning. During this period we make bread (using a no-knead method) and learn how to make and maintain a starter. As many nuances of making sourdough bread as possible are discussed. In the afternoon we mix the dough and shape the bread, after which it can rise in the refrigerator overnight. We end the first day with a snack and a drink.
The next morning we bake the loaves, discuss the results, maintain the starter and answer questions. You have the option to end this workshop with a brunch. You will receive a well-functioning starter to continue baking at home and of course your first home-baked sourdough bread! You can also order a starter package with flour, meal and proofing basket from us.
A maximum of 4 people can participate.
Costs of the workshop for 4 people are € 135 pp including brunch.
Costs for 2 people € 195 pp including brunch.
